Durex remains the world’s best-selling condom brand, with 30% of the branded market. However, all production now takes place in China, India and Thailand, with its last remaining UK condom factory ceasing manufacturing in 2007. They mostly produced at China Qingdao factory located at Shandong Province where famous for condom production. Durex once joint venture with Qingdao double butterfly group, and now they invested a 100% owned condom facility at shandong province.

Durex’s new production facility in Taicang, China (part of Reckitt’s Phase 2 project), is a state-of-the-art expansion with ~20,000 sqm area and ¥350 million investment.
