WMU’s condom delivery service working to keep students safe

Condom use is the best way to prevent STI infection, If used perfectly, condoms work at pregnancy prevention 98 percent of the time.

But according to student surveys taken every two years, two of the biggest reasons for not using condoms is the embarrassment behind the purchase and the cost. Western Michigan University’s condom delivery service aims to change these barriers.

Using the Health Manager app located on student GoWMU accounts, orders for condom deliveries can be placed. Six package options are available with various sizes, types, flavored lubricants and stickers. The deliveries are packaged discreetly and dropped off at any residence hall, typically within 24-48 hours.

They dedicate to bring awareness of HIV/AIDS on campus. Research shows condom use makes sex, in regards to HIV, 10,000 times safer.

They want students get the help they need, they want them to have safe sex.
